Ndugu Kwendo worked as a professional teacher for people with special needs. He i
s talented music teacher , a vocalist and a caring family man. Ndugu Kwendo started teaching at Thika School for the blind, in Kenya between 1990-2000, he eventually moved to Canada. Mr. Kwendo taught music, coached Thika School for the blind's choir to the national level, . Thika School for the blind was always ranking top in the whole country (Kenya) during his tenure.
He working with individuals with disabilities, and assisting them with ADLs (activities of daily living) of all levels. Verbally impaired, cognitively mobility impaired and ambulative individuals . He is always happy advocating on behalf his clients and seeking for the necessary needs for individual with down syndrome.
Perhaps the most saddening and encouraging experiences of Mr. Kwendo talents is teaching brail language to the blind people. Remarkably is an incident when a teacher in the same school he taught, had her both eyes maliciously gouged out by thugs. Mr Kwendo taught her how to read brail format. Later on she became a brail language teacher.
Today, Mr. Kwendo works as residential counselor with new Visions Toronto. Through his musical talent, Ndugu Kwendo fulfils his dream by entertaining his clients with his own music.
Life in Canada: Mr. Kwendo continues to expand his expertise when he joined the Salvation Army band in Scarborough Ontario. He plays guitar, the trumpet and vocals.

Mr. Kwendo has performed with Sarah Kariuki, Pastor Jairo, and Rose Peter among others. His own a CD under development to be launched soon.
Mr kwendo is a dedicated family man. he is maried to Angela Wambugi Kwendo. Angela organizes Christian retreats. (Multi-cultural and inter-denomination crusade.) Oftenly, she invites Mr. kwendo to assist..... More to come
MR. Kwendo is the Emergency coordinator in Nyumba community association and he is also a member of the Kenyan community in Ontario (K.C.O) during their celebrations. Major Kenya's Holidays include: Madaraka day and Jamhuri day.
He assists in leading both Kenyan and Canadian the national anthems.
